We take spam and scams seriously and are committed to maintaining a secure and ethical messaging environment.

Spamming or scamming people via SMS is neither ethical nor acceptable business practice. At SMART SMS API, we enforce strict compliance measures to protect both our users and message recipients from fraudulent or unwanted messages.

Report Spam or Scam Messages

If you believe you have received an unsolicited, fraudulent, or scam message, please contact us immediately with details, including the message content. Our team will investigate and take appropriate action to prevent further misuse.

What Happens If You Spam or Scam?

We have a zero-tolerance policy for spamming and scamming. If we determine that a user is abusing the SMART SMS API platform by sending unsolicited or fraudulent messages, we will take swift action, which may include:

   * Immediate Account Termination – Your access to SMART SMS API will be permanently revoked.

   * Blacklisting – You will be prohibited from using SMART SMS API in the future.

   * Legal Action – We reserve the right to pursue legal measures if applicable.

Note: We conduct thorough investigations before taking action, but once a decision is made, we act quickly to protect our network and users.

What is Considered Spam?

Spam is defined as unsolicited text messages sent to recipients who have not explicitly opted in to receive communications from you.

   * Sending mass SMS to bulk lists without proper consent violates SMART SMS API’s Terms of Service.

   * You may only send messages to individuals who have voluntarily opted in to receive information from you.

How We Combat Scammers

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has implemented stricter regulations to block scam SMS traffic. To comply with the ACMA SMS Scam Code, SMART SMS API enforces the following measures:

Alpha Sender ID Verification Program

   * All users must verify their identity and business before using SMART SMS API.

   * A mandatory survey must be completed, detailing the intended use case for messaging.
